I've been looking for one an they're all manual so I was wondering us it possible to change it to a automatic and if so how do I do it?
It's a beautiful car I would live that car if I get it. I just prefer it to be auto. Sorry if I'm affending anyone

the main question is WHY. it NEEDS to be a manual. If you cant drive it then PLEASE let someone who can appreciate it drive it.
yes it can be done but shouldn’t a stick is much better you have more control over the vehicle, so its better to learn to drive stick. but if you insist on changing it its pretty easy buy a auto tranny for the mustang and hook it up should be able to get one that will install without modification since mustangs are all the same for the majority
hope this helps if you do this ask someone who knows about this it be cheep
yes it can be done and its all good bro plenty off ppl have done far worse trust me its your car do what you want
easier than changing from an auto to a manual, get the proper weighted flywheel(28 or 50 ounce) and put the trans in. Shifter goes in the same spot and trans cooler lines to the radiator. Then the hardest part is the throttle cable to trans reference, a C-4 trans is only for kick down when full throttle and the rest of the time it uses a vacuum reference for shifting but if you use an AOD overdrive then it use a cable or linkage the full throttle travel for shifting reference, not difficult but be sure to check the transmission pressure points or you will burn it up. Headers can sometimes be a problem
It’$ more valuable a$ a manual.
Just keep looking for an automatic
Here’s the real scoop:
The Boss 302 is a small displacement engine with huge intake ports and valves – it produces very little torque and power at lower rpm’s and would be a terrible car with an automatic transmission – even with a high stall converter.
Best bet? get yourself a ’69 or ’70 Mustang Fastback (Sportsroof) with a 302 and an automatic and build a clone Boss 302 – all of the stripe kits, spoilers and so forth are readily available and you can customize it anyway way that you wish – all without the astronomical price of an original.
ALL BOSS 302′s came with 4spds and those that do not would be considered a fake and it would also loose 1/2 its value. It is basically a 302 and would hook up to a C4 which came in the stock Mustangs that had a standard 302, of course then it would not be unique. I suggest buying a Mach I if you have that kind of money to spend.
Learn to drive. If you cannot drive a stick, then you have no business behind the wheel of a Boss.
Anyway, it probably can be done, but it will likely take some custom fab work, you’ll need a built C4 or a C6 to handle the torque. You will also need custom adapters and a custom drive shift, none of this will be cheap. The car’s value will plumet. In short it’s a bad idea.
