What Are Some Ways To Make Sure That 1973 Boss Mustang Is For Real.?

Im looking at a car that supposebly has a BOSS 351 engine it. What are ways to make sure it is a real boss engine. Is there a certain vin number??

    I don’t believe there was a Boss 351 mustang made in ’73 only made a limited production in 1971. The best way is to have a decoder book on hand from any book store or restoration shop there are too many fakes and clones out there.These cars are being passed off to the unknowing consumer as the realthing.Be careful and look for documentation build sheet ect.

    grab a vin number of car and the engine number and head for a ford dealership or resto shop

    this might help but I believe the poster above is correct in that they did not offer a boss mustang in 73
