1969 1970 they made a BOSS 429 Hemi Motor & The Boss -302 Small Block and the 429 only 629 ever were produced and a very rare Vehicle, very easy to i denify if able to see the vehicle most are in car collections cause they are priceless
Every type of Ford Mustang looks different from other types of Ford Mustang. Did you mean to say, The Bullet model?
the BOSS was made in the 1969 – 1970 and 1971 model years.
Among the verious other differences, the BOSS had the BOSS engine. The fifth place in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) was the engine code:
in 1969 and 1970 models – G=Boss 302; Z=Boss 429
in 1971 there was only one Boss engine R=Boss 351
There was no 1998 BOSS
There is a new 2006 BOSS, but I don’t know the engine code or the specifications. You should be able to find it on the Ford Web-Site.
They made them for ’69 and ’70 and ’71 Determining a genuine
should be left to someone who knows EXACTLY what
they are doing, as a word of caution
Ford is not coming out with a Boss in a while, they have just released the Shelby 500 and the GT for 2007, they are bound to stay around for a while before they make any more models.
you can check out the Shelby @ http://www.svt.ford.com
Boss were available 69 and 70. the Vin number and option code plate will give you clues to the originality of the vehicle. yes there are a few Boss(s) still around . those owners don’t usually realise what they have and treat them poorly. don’t expect to find a perfect mustang
