   It all depends on on the condition of the car you are starting with and how far you want to go into the restoration.
   A decent 69 GT Fastback will cost you at least $10,000. Increase this from 75% to 100$ if this is a big block car.
   If it has little rust, the body restoration won’t be all that expensive, not much more than painting any other car. Maybe $3000 to $5000. But if you start finding rust in the floorboards, trunk, or firewall area, this price can quickly double.
   The engine rebuild shouldn’t cost much more than rebuilding any other V8. Fords cost a little more for parts, but not too much more. Figure about $3000. If this is a matching numbers car I would make a serious attempt to keep the original engine. This increases the value of the car. If the engine is not salvageable then you can put any Ford engine in it you want. Your checkbook is your only limit.
   Figure on about an extra $3000 to restore the interior. This may be less if the interior is in good condition and you can salvage many existing parts.
   Figure on another $5000 to restore the suspension, transmission ,an differential. Add anothe $1000 for the exhaust.
   All this will be less if you can do most of the work yourself. If you have to pay someone to do this for you figure on at least $100 per hour labor and a couple hundred hours work. So labor could very quickly eat up your budget.
   But if you were to start with a decent car and freshen it up to make it presentable, you should be able to pull this off with your budget.
   You should also be able to find a decent complete car that needs little or no work within your budget.

   Depends on the shape of the Mustang when the restoration first begins and just how involved the restoration is. If the car is stripped down to the last bolt and screw and reassembled, expect to pay much more than 20 or 30 grand.

   In the Midwest, it would be between15k and 30k depending on equipment , accuracy, and who did the restoration…
