   All except the Saleen are made completely by Ford.
   Mustang is base, next ceomes the GT, then the Shelby. Saleen is a little more expensive and has less power than Shelby, but handles better. Top Gear did a comparison of the two cars on a track. Saleen is also the only one with independant rear suspension.

   That site has a lot of good info and it is very thorough. Alright, there are different differences between the cars depending on the year of the car, so we will take the 2007 Mustang, Mustang GT, Shelby Mustang, Shelby GT 500 mustang, and Saleen Mustang.
   First off, we have the mustang. This is the basic mustang for Ford, it has a v6 engine that puts out 210hp and 240tq. It gets good mileage and is realitively fast for a v6 car. The next car is the Mustang GT. This is the classic Ford Mustang. It has a v8 engine, and also looks differently on the outside with wider tires, a hood scoop, fog lights, and different spoiler and body effects. It is a 4.6L v8 3 valve per cylinder engine that puts out 300hp and 320tq. It is the fastest new car you can buy today for the money. There is not a new car you can buy today for the same amount of money as a mustang gt, or less money, that is as fast as a mustang gt. It gets good mileage for a v8 car that is the fastest in its class. It handles well and brakes well. The next car is the Shelby mustang, this is a gt mustang with some aftermarket modifications done. It has upgraded suspension, cold air intake, and maybe a more agressive tune. It will look slightly different then a gt mustang with stipes and a couple of other small things. I think it makes 325hp and 340tq, it has the same exact 4.6L 3 vavle per cylinder v8 engine that the mustang gt has. The next car is the Shelby gt 500. This car is much different then the cars previously noted. It is almost a completely different car. Its engine is a hand built 5.4L 4 valve per cylinder DOHC v8 engine that has all of its internal components forged and puts out 500hp and 480tq. This makes the engine “bulletproof”, completely stock it can handle up to and over 1000hp. Sitting on top of it is an Eaton roots type supercharger. All of this connects to a top of the line tremec transmission. This is the same “bulletproof” tranny that Dodge puts in its $90,000 Viper. This car has a different hood, it has 2 heat extractors on its hood that do a very good job of helping the intercooler keep everything as cool as possible. It has a different front fascia with ground effects with fog lights and a different spoiler. It also has much wider tires with 285′s. The last one you listed was the Saleen Mustang. The Saleen mustang is just a gt mustang with saleen aftermarket parts. There are 3 different types of Saleens. There is the non supercharged version, the supercharged version, and the extreme supercharged version. All 3 Saleens have the same exact 4.6L 3 vavle per cylinder v8 engine. WIth the base non supercharged version you are getting upgraded suspension, brakes, and cold air intake with exhaust, and a Saleen body kit, this model makes just slightly more hp and tq then a gt. With the basic supercharged version you are getting everything I noted above for the non supercharged version but now you are also getting a Saleen Twin Screw supercharger. This will up your hp to 435hp and 420tq. The best of the saleens is the saleen extreme, you get everything that comes with the first two saleens but with a much more agressive tune and smaller pulleys for the supercharger. This puts you at 550hp and 525tq. Saleen also puts in a 6 speed transmission and better brakes and suspension. They also sure up the engine adding some foged internals. This a truely one bad a$$ car. It also comes with 410 gears. Well, there you go, sorry for it being so long but you said you would like to know everything there is.
